Troupware's Winlaunch - What's New:
v4.0:

v4.0 - RC1:
~ Fixed a bug that stopped the engine being started on start-up (when specified to do so).
~ Fixed a fault that caused the program to crash on start-up (positioning fault).
~ Fixed a fault in the bug report section of the 'Help' menu that displayed the wrong name.
~ You can now enable the 'Exceptions' to be checked via the 'Add Exception' wizard window.
~ Slightly re-organized the context menu used for both lists (flows better now).
~ The launch confirmation balloon tooltip is now better presented shows descriptions.
~ The 'Add Shortcut' window now shows under the shortcut-selectors if the selected is available or not.

~ Fixed a fault that caused the 'Back' button on the 'Add Shortcut' window to remain disabled upon editing.

v4.0 - Beta 2:
~ Added 'Lock' support to the 'Engine' menu, which disables shortcut adding/editing while the engine is on.
~ When reports are generated, they now show the name of the shortcut, not the target.
~ MAJOR: Added 'Strings', which will send text strings to any specific area you specify.
~ You can no longer directly run Commands, Custom Commands, Windows and Strings from the 'Run' menu item.
~ Added 8 new keys that can be used in any shortcut key combination (adds 88 new combinations in total).
~ Fixed a fault that caused 'Email' shortcuts not to load correctly.
~ Add a new tab called 'Defaults' into the 'Options' window.
~ You can now specify the default shortcut used for programs/folders/documents dropped on the shortcuts list.

v3.0 - Beta 1:

MAJOR Updates:
- All settings are now saved in "settings.ini" in the applications directory.
- You can now drag programs and folders onto the shortcuts list on the main window.
- Moved the "Window Settings" window to the "Preferences" window.
- Added shortcut list Opening and Saving support via the "File" menu.
- The start-up list is now saved in "\_shortcuts\default.wldl".
- Added a "Find Shortcut" window, which finds a shortcut on the main window only.
- You can now use documents as shortcuts (which are loaded in thier default program).
- Removed the reports toolbar from the main window and turn it into an external window.
- The "Add Shortcut" window for the main window has been completely re-designed.
- All shortcuts can now be launched in their own view (ie: Maximized, Minimized, Normally).
- Shortcuts launched are now shown in a pop up toolip just above the system tray.
- Shortcuts are no longer restricted to the function keys, you can use any key conbination.

- You can now use commands when loading Winlaunch, like /systray or /startengine.
- Winprotect support has been added, in the form of a custom command called "Windows_Lock()".
- Added Listening mode support, so only certain types of shortcuts can be launched.
- Added "View Reports" to the toolbar on the main window, while removing "Preferences".
- For Networks: Added command line that will show a shortcut alerting window for workstation use.
- When shortcuts are removed, a dialog is now shown which has different options for this function.
- Added "Program Exceptions", which prevents the shortcuts being used with any program you add.
- "Program Exceptions" now has the ability to learn all the program you use on your computer most often.


Fixes:
- Fixed the "Scheduled Shortcut" window allowing 4 numbers in the delay time section.
- Fixed a fault with the Maximum Window Count not being re-loaded correctly.
- Fixed a crash fault when an item at the bottom on the shortcut list could not be loaded.
- Fixed a de-selection crash bug in Launch_Key_Shortcut().
- Fixed the re-position codes used in the Launch_Key_Shortcut() function.
- Fixed a fault in the X button on the shortcuts toolbar not updating the quick-launch bar.

Other:
- Added Current_Windows_Version() to the core, which checks the current windows version.
- Added Windows_Theme_Create() to the core, which sorts out Windows XP compatability.
- Moved the Is_Correct() function from the "Scheduled Shortcut" window to the core.
- The Shortcuts List on the main window shows icons for specific commands types.
- Made sure the main window remembers it was re-centered and resized.
- Added Setup_Window() to the core, which is now used to setup the windows correctly
- All shortcuts that cannot be loaded are stored and removed at the end of the run.
- The Reports toolbar now shows images determining if the launch was sucessful.
- The Reports toobar now allows you to select the entire row instead of just the date.
- The shortcut adding windows now have the option to keep them open.
- Massive improvements to the "Stop Selected" menu on the main window.
- Added Check_Shortcut_SmallIcons() to the main window core (for checking shortcut types).
- Added Recent Filename menus under the "File" menu on the main window.
- Added Save_RecentFilename() to the core, which saves the filename opened or saved.
- Added Install_Recent_Filenames() to the core, which installs the recently used filenames.
- Right clicking in the main menu now shows a default menu.
- Removed the "Automatic Shortcuts" window as its not needed anymore.
- Updated some shortcuts on the main window due to the huge changes made.
- Added Save_Default_Shortcut_List() and Install_Default_Shortcut_List() to the core.
- Removed Install_Automatic_Shortcuts() from the core as its no londer needed.
- You can now oranise the shortcuts in the main window.
- Added Move_List_Item() to the core, which is used to move list items.
- Added "Run" to the "Shortcuts" menu, which runs the selected shortcut in the list.
- Updated the exit confirmation message to make more sence.
- Make sure the exit confirmation message is only shown if the key checking engine is on.
- Added "Remove Broken Shortcuts" to the shortcuts menu.
- The new menus scans for non existent programs/folders and then removes them from the list.
- Added "Find Shortcut" to the "Shortcuts" menu under "Shortcut List".
- Lots of internal functions have been renamed due to the extensive changes made.
- The recent filename menus can be reset from the "Preferences" window.
- Renamed the "Launching Settings" section to "Shortcut Settings" in the "Preferences" window.
- Added "Organise The Custom Command(s)" to the "Shortcuts" menu under "Shortcut List".
- Added Organise_CC_Positions() to the core, which organises the custom commands.
- Custom commands can now be any length, which opens the door for plug-ins (watch this space).
- Removed all settings that applyed to the Reports toolbar on the main window only.
- Slightly increased the width of the shortcut toolbar on the main window.
- The Shortcuts list on the main window has been slightly re-styled.
- Massive improvements to the Launch_Shortcut() function, now shortcuts will load alot faster.
- The "Scheduled Shortcut" window has been slightly updated to take advantage of all the changes.
- All shortcuts can now have custom names instead of the small default ones created for you.
- Custom Commands are now checked to make sure they are not in the list before they are added.
- The shortcuts list on the main window can be sorted via Acending and Decending order (optional).
- Shortcuts can be sorted in every way possible, from the keys to the shortcut names.
- Massive improvements to the start-up code, Winlaunch now loads much better than before.
- Re-structured a lot of sentences in the "Preferences" window.
- Made sure Winlaunch cloes a lot quicker than before, which has been causing problems in the past.
- Updated the messages that are shown on the status bar for the key checking engine.
- Winlaunch now creates a directory called "_reports" in the main applications directory.
- All launching reports generated can now be saved (default location is _reports).

- Made sure all sections (when different from each other) are not able to gain focus when clicked.

- Renamed the "All Shortcuts" button on the main window to "View Shortcuts".
- Winlaunch status messages are now "Running" and "Stopped" instead of "Active" and "Inactive".
- Added "Exceptions" button to the toolbar, which accesses the "Program Exception" window.
- Renamed the "Schedule Command" window to "Scheduled Shortcut", little easier to understand.
- Brand new System Tray handler, which is faster and smaller.
- Added "Remove All" feature, which allows you to remove different shortcut types from the list.
- Brand new List/Combo adding codes, now makes the program even faster when loading certain windows.
- The default list is now protected against change when Winlaunch is not open.
- An error message is shown on startup if an incorrect command is used.

Version 2.1 - RC1:

Version 2.1 - Beta 3:
- Added System_Directory() to the core, which collects the correct System Directory.
- Added Windows_Directory() to the core, which collects the correct Windows Directory.
- Added Is_WINNT_Based() to the core, which checks to see if the version of windows is NT based.
- Both shortcut adding windows now set the browsing directory to the application directory.
- The "Schedule Command" window now set the browsing directory to the application directory.
- Added another custom command called stop_kcengine(), which stops the key checking engine.
- Removed Show_Commands_Help(), it’s now replaced with a better laid out help window.
- MAJOR: When you press the 'X' button, the main window minimizes to the system tray.
- Added "System Tray Alert" window, which warns that the program has been minimized to the tray.
- Added "Disable Selected" menu item to "Shortcuts", which disables the selected shortcut.

Version 2.1 - Beta 2:
- Changed some internal details within Winlaunch.
- Added secure website loading support, which can be added to the Auto Shortcuts as well.
- Fixed an alignment mistake in the "Check For Latest updates" window.
- The "Preferences" window now underlines the current section that is open.
- Updated both Shortcut Adding windows to apply with the new secure website loading support.
- Fixed a layout issue on the Warning Message window.
- A few layout changes again in the "Preferences" window.
- Added a "?" button to the Shortcut Adding windows which loads the commands explaining message.
- Added 3 custom commands: MINIMIZE_MAIN(), RE-STORE_MAIN() and SYSTEMTRAYMIN().
- Converted the Text fields in the Shortcut Adding windows into list combo list boxes.
- Made the new combo boxes on the Shortcut Adding windows show the commands in their lists.
- The custom commands will allow you to operate the main window as well as other commands.

Version 2.1 - Beta 1:
- Changed some start-up code while making sure that all of the settings were installed first.
- Added "Window Settings" menu item to the "File" menu.
- Added "window Settings" window to the program.
- Added the ability to specify how many windows can be used within the main window.
- Massive improvements to the Load_Window() function section.
- Fixed a fault in the start-up section that reset settings that did not exist.
- Re-Designed the layout for the "Preferences" window, has a much nicer feel to it now.
- You can now select whether or not the key checking engine is started on start-up.
- Winlaunch now checks for the latest updates on start.
- Update checking on start-up can be turned off in the "Preferences" window (of by default).
- Updated the warning message which is shown on start-up when Automatic Shortcuts are used.

v2.0 - RC3:
- Improved the loading success section of the F Key launching codes, now more responsive.
- Made the "About" window close after a link was pressed, forgot to add this before.
- Improved several sections of the code which verify if an update is available.
- Made the main window remember if it was maximized before being hidden to the system tray.
- Made the program remember if it was maximized or not upon start-up.
- Added a Reports toolbar to the main window, which logs everything loaded and not loaded.
- Made sure the Reports toolbar is not visible by default.
- Added "Show The Reports Toolbar" to the menu "View".
- Also updated the "Preferences" window to show this new setting.
- If a folder (when launched) does not exist, an error message is now shown.
- Customization is no longer allowed for the Quick-Launch toolbar, as its not needed.
- Lots of code clean-ups, optimizations and improvements.

v2.0 - RC2:
- Fixed a bug that changed the title on the "Schedule Command" window upon command stopping.
- Removed the "Scrl" section from the status bar on the main window, its not really needed.
- Added a "Commands" section on the status bar on the main window.
- Made the "Commands" section on the status bar show the current count of commands running.
- Slightly improved the updating of the shortcuts currently running section on the status bar.
- Slightly improved the toolbar section of the "Check For Latest Updates" window.
- Added Resize_Window() to the main window, which is used to resize everything in the window.
- Make sure all section showing menus call Resize_Window() after running.
- If a program (when launched) does not exist, an error message is now shown.
- Program/folder/website loading success is now reported within the program.
- If a program/folder/website is not loaded successfully, it’s removed from the shortcuts list.
- Added "Add Shortcut" to the system tray menu, which opens the "Add Shortcut" window.
- Massively improved the start-up time while optimizing to installation process section.
- Changed the right hand side image on the "Schedule Command" window, now shows the correct one.

- Improved the F Key installer for several windows, which is now much faster.

- Updated the list indexes in the "Automatic Shortcuts" window as well.
- Fixed a crash fault in the "< Remove" button in the "Automatic Shortcuts" window.
- Fixed a few faults here and there in the "Check For Latest Updates" window.
- Updated a few internal sections of the "Check For Latest Updates" window.
- Added "Free?" button under the F Keys list in the "Automatic Shortcuts" window.
- The "Free?" button shows a message containing all of the available functions keys not used.
- Extended the "New Window" button on the main window to have a menu.
- MAJOR: Added "Schedule Command" window, which launches at system times or after a delay time.
- Made the "Schedule Command" window launch programs/folders and website addresses.
- Added "Start New Schedule Command" to "File" on the main window.

v2.0 - Beta 2:
- Brand new system tray menu, similar to that used in RNA Server Edition.
- Shortcuts can only be removed from the list once they are selected.
- If nothing is selected in the shortcuts list, the stopping buttons and menus are disabled.
- Added "Shortcuts" menu to the Main window, while re-arranging some other menus.
- Made sure all removed shortcuts in the “Automatic Shortcuts” window are completely removed.
- Right Clicking in the running shortcuts list will now show the new "Shortcuts" menu.
- Added "Save To Automatic Shortcut List" in the new "Shortcuts" menu.
- Massive improvements to "< Remove" in the "Automatic Shortcuts" window.
- Move "Reset..." from "Running" to the new "Shortcuts" menu. Renamed it to "Reset Shortcuts".

v2.0 - Beta 1:
- Completely re-built from the ground up, offers new inter-face and better overall design.
- You can now select more than one program/website for each F Key.
- You can have as many as 50 default programs/websites to load upon start-up.
- Winlaunch can now always be up to date with the new 'Check For Latest updates' window.
- All key checking processes are now controlled from the main window.
- Always On Top support has been added to the main window only.
- Hide In The Task Manager support is now also available.
- You can now specify if programs/websites are launched Maximized, Minimized or Normally.
- You can run as many shortcuts as you want, there is no limit.
- Full window arranging support is available from the main window.
- Each program/website process started can be individually stopped.
- The key checking engine can now be easily stopped and started, even from the system tray.
- The program itself is 10 times faster than the original v1.0 release.
